What we do as standard.

Print Powered by Solar

99% of the print that passes through the studio is produced using solar energy. This includes the printing presses, trimmers and driers, meaning that throughout the process there is a neutral energy impact.

FSC Certified

The majority of the paper which we use is Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified, which means it can be traced from the raw material through to the finished product, ensuring transparency across the supply chain.

Minimal Waste

All excess paper, produced from trimming and cutting, is recycled where possible by accredited waste specialists. Additionally any waste aluminium, ink tins and plastic are responsibly disposed of and recycled where possible.

Vegetable Based Inks

The printing presses that our print is produced on uses vegetable based inks and minimal alcohol. Excessive waste is minimised by a state of the art image control system, and plates which are chemistry-free.

100% Recycled Paper

One way in which you can further reduce your environmental impact is to use paper which has been recycled. Recycled paper stocks have come along in leaps and bounds in recent years – nowadays, it can offer best-in-class colour reproduction and whiteness.

There are a wide range of recycled paper options that are available to use, which vary from 100% recycled, to a portion of recycled pulp (25%-80%). Many recycled paper options come as being carbon balanced at source, with no extra cost.

Carbon Balanced Paper

For those wanting to go that extra mile, we can print on carbon balanced paper, whereby a tonne of CO2 is offset per tonne of paper used. Carbon balancing is achieved through the preservation and restoration of tropical forests under imminent threat of deforestation.

This is facilitated through The World Land Trust, who work with local project partners to restore biologically important habitats throughout the world. Currently these projects are in Equador, Brazil, Mexico and Paraguay, with ambitions to expand this even further.
