Constructing a beautiful narrative.

Blue Cedar Homes

Blue Cedar is a company that specializes in designing and building luxury properties in desirable retirement locations. With a goal of elevating their existing brand, the company recently underwent a brochure redesign project. The aim was to showcase their development in a new light by highlighting their houses and features in relation to the area, and breathing new life into the brand with a brighter, better-balanced design. In this case study, we will examine how the use of new colours, copy, and photography helped to refresh the existing Blue Cedar brand and create a more engaging and appealing brochure for potential buyers.

  • Graphic Design

  • Brand Identity

  • Publications + Playbooks

  • Guidelines + Governance

From formulaic to fresh.

To achieve our goal, we looked at the existing material and thought there was room for improvement in how the houses and features were presented in relation to the area the development was based in. We decided to readdress the use of colours to create a brighter and better-balanced brochure.

A new perspective.

To make the new brochure more engaging, we had to write new copy and research the area for content. We wanted to highlight the key features and benefits of the development, while also showcasing the surrounding area and its attractions. We also sourced new photography to accompany the copy and add visual interest to the brochure.

Brightening and balancing.

By readdressing the use of colours and implementing new copy and photography, we were able to refresh the existing Blue Cedar brand and create a brighter and more balanced brochure. The new design showcases the houses and features in a more engaging and appealing manner, while still maintaining the core elements of the Blue Cedar brand.

The finished product.

We were able to successfully refresh the existing brand while maintaining its core elements, and create a brighter and more balanced brochure that appeals to potential buyers. By writing new copy, researching the area, and sourcing new photography, we were able to showcase the key features and benefits of the development in an engaging and appealing manner.

Designing the new brochure for Blue Cedar was an opportunity to take a fresh look at the existing brand and see how it could be elevated. Our goal was to showcase the development in a new light, highlighting the houses and features in relation to the area and breathing new life into the brand with a brighter, better-balanced design.
