Holmewood House

Boarding Proposition Development

01 | Project Overview

Helping one of the UK's leading prep schools stand out in an increasingly competitive education market.

When Holmewood House partnered with Quantock, the school recognised that its external brand no longer reflected the quality of the experience delivered across the school. Following investment in facilities, a growing list of award recognitions and an ambitious vision for the future, there was an opportunity to elevate every aspect of the school's marketing and communications.

Our brief was to create a brand that matched the school's excellence whilst appealing to a new generation of day and boarding families. The resulting project extended far beyond a visual refresh, creating a strategic foundation for long-term admissions, marketing and brand growth.

The Challenge

The independent education sector is increasingly competitive. Holmewood House was operating in a market shaped by demographic change, rising fee pressures and significant local competition, making it more important than ever to communicate a clear and compelling proposition.

The school's existing communications lacked the warmth, ambition and consistency experienced by pupils, parents and staff every day. The challenge was to balance academic rigour with genuine care, creating a brand that felt professional and aspirational while remaining authentic to the school's culture and values.

02 | The Straetgy

Discovering What Makes Holmewood Different.

Our work began with an intensive discovery phase, including competitor analysis, audience research, school immersion, lesson observation and interviews with leaders, staff and pupils. This allowed us to uncover the defining qualities that set Holmewood House apart and understand how those strengths could be communicated more effectively.

From these insights, we developed a new strategic direction centred on belonging, aspiration and opportunity. We refined the visual identity, introduced comprehensive brand guidelines and created a messaging framework capable of uniting the school's communications across print, digital and admissions touchpoints.

The transformation was then rolled out across a new website experience, prospectus suite, boarding materials, advertising campaigns, social content and admissions collateral, ensuring every interaction reflected the same confident and cohesive story.

03 | The Result

Creating a Platform for Long-Term Growth.

The result was a distinctive, modern brand that better reflects the quality, warmth and ambition of the school. From the website and prospectuses to open mornings and advertising campaigns, every touchpoint now works harder to communicate what makes Holmewood House unique.

The new identity has been positively received by governors, senior leaders, staff and parents, helping to create a stronger sense of confidence and consistency across the organisation. It has also provided a powerful platform for showcasing the school's achievements, awards and future ambitions.

Most importantly, Holmewood House now has the brand, tools and strategic foundations needed to strengthen its position in a challenging market and continue attracting families who share its values and aspirations.
